Studies on the Pathogenic E.Coli in Korean lnfant

Abstract
The author has administered the E. Coli 0111:34 to healthy adult, which was isolated from healthy and diarrheal cases of Korean infant, and the following results were obtained;
1) The author has administered the bacteria consisted of a number of 1.6x 109-9.3 x 1O9, and manifested mild clinical symptoms only in 2 cases among 7 cases, which were administered respectival bacteria consisted of a number of 5.85x109 and 6.O.x 109,
2) Following the administration of bacteria, the bacteria discharge from the stool were recognizable in 2 cases, and only small number of bacteria were discharged in 24 hours, and the discharges were persisted over 30 days.
Concurrence between mild clinical symptoms and bacterial discharges was recognizable in only one case, and the bacterial discharges also ceased in short period.
3) The antibody formation of blood was somewhat elevated in 2 cases among 7 cases.
4) The correlationship between the diarrheal cases of Korean infant and so called pathogenic E. Coli, was difficult to convence which the result of administrating experiment only.
